Building on What God Has Already Done

Welcome to Marshes of Glynn Baptist Church, a united body of Believers in Jesus Christ with the mission to love God, love one another, seek the lost, and make disciples.

In January 1994, a small group of believers gathered for the first worship service of Marshes of Glynn Baptist Church. Forty-two people met in a community recreation building, trusting God to establish a church in this area. Within a year, the first permanent church building was completed through sacrificial giving and volunteer labor. For more than three decades, God has continued to provide as this church has grown in worship, discipleship, and outreach.

Today, we stand at another moment of faith.

The Worship Center Expansion Project is the next step in the story God is writing at Marshes of Glynn. Our goal is to raise enough funding to complete the interior of the new worship center, including its infrastructure, and ministry spaces needed for full use of the new worship center for ministry for generations to come.

Construction began in November 2025 and continues to progress.

As God was faithful then, we trust He will be faithful now.

From a Small Beginning to a Growing Ministry

Marshes of Glynn began with a simple vision to become a spiritual highway for reaching souls for Christ.

Over the years, God has allowed this church to grow through:

  • Expanded worship and fellowship spaces
  • Community outreach during crises and disasters
  • Discipleship for children, students, and adults
  • Evangelistic events and ministry partnerships

In recent years, attendance and ministry participation have increased to the point that our current worship space is no longer sufficient.

This expansion will allow us to:

  • Provide adequate space for corporate worship
  • Support ministry growth for future generations
  • Strengthen our outreach to the surrounding community
  • Create a welcoming environment for those seeking Christ

“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”  Psalm 126:3

Preparing a Place for the Next Generation

The new worship center represents more than construction. It represents preparation.

Preparation for the families God is bringing.

Preparation for the students who will be discipled here.

Preparation for the worship and ministry that will take place in the years ahead.

This space will allow Marshes of Glynn to:

  • Welcome more people into corporate worship through additional seating and improved accessibility
  • Enhance the worship experience through improved sound, visual, and ministry support resources
  • Host community and outreach events
  • Strengthen discipleship ministries
  • Support the mission to reach the lost and make disciples

From the first rented meeting space to the present campus, each step has been marked by faith. This expansion continues that legacy.

Be a Part of the Next Chapter

Every generation of this church has responded in faith when God opened a door. Those who gave sacrificially in the early years made it possible for this ministry to flourish today. Now we are invited to do the same for those who will come after us.

You can participate in the Worship Center Expansion Project through:

  • Prayer
  • Asking God to guide and provide throughout this process
  • "Building Fund Sunday" giving, which take place on the fourth and fifth Sundays each month
  • Making a one-time gift
  • Making a monthly commitment or a financial commitment over time
  • Legacy giving
  • Business sponsorship
  • Encouragement
  • Supporting the church as we move forward together in unity

Every gift contributes to the work God is doing at Marshes of Glynn. Together, we are building a place where lives will be changed for years to come.
